France awards Senop contract for fire-control system

Finnish defence technology company selected by DGA following multi-year evaluation programme

Finnish defence technology company Senop has been awarded a contract by the French Armaments General Directorate, DGA, for the procurement of its advanced fire-control system, the Senop AFCD TI.

According to a statement, the contract represents a significant milestone in cooperation between Senop, the DGA, and Saab’s Ground Combat unit.

Senop’s core competencies include advanced electro-optical systems, high-end night-vision solutions, complex system integrations, and critical communications technologies. 

Senop is a subsidiary of Millog Ltd and part of the Patria Group.

The acquisition of the AFCD TI marks the culmination of a multi-year development and evaluation programme, during which Senop worked closely with the DGA and Saab’s Ground Combat unit.

Contract realisation will begin in 2026, with Senop committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout production and deployment. 

Senop will also provide training, maintenance support, and lifecycle services to ensure sustained operational readiness for the French Armed Forces.
